Ro Brennan, The Captain Stout.
An old face in a new person! Ro Brennan - Ròisìn Aoife Brennan - is the twin sister of Captain John Stout, a veteran of the Renaissance Faire circuit. Ro is in her own right an established professional folk musician, but it so much more as well! Perhaps even more well traveled than her esteemed sibling, Ro has traveled to amazing places far and wide in her travels, and brought home songs from not only far away lands, but far away times, singing music from not only the present, but from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and more!

The music of Ireland was always prevalent in the family home as Ro grew up, and music was part of her everyday life as a child. Showing great skill and natural talent for music, Ro’s mother gave her every opportunity and chance to hone her skill and passion. Eventually moving on to a musical education in college, Ro obtained her degree in Music History, and came to study the folk music of not only Ireland, but Scotland, Wales, England, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, America, Canada, Australia, and so many more! Not only is her music of the traditional folk, but also period music from all of these places as well! Music is the passion of Ròisìn Aoife, and she brings it to you, straight from the heart.

Music is what brings communities together, and Ro believes in the world community. Where most communities in our combined society still separate themselves from each other, Ro tries to bring us all together in all of our diversity and celebrates each of our unique ethnic and ancestral ways, including language, art, and message. Upholding the Ideal of the unified Earth, Ro would rather see the respect and acceptance of what each person brings to our world community, while at the same time acknowledging the struggles that were endured to achieve their place in society, and hopes that one day, all members of each ancestry can overcome the prior prejudices, stereotypes, and misunderstandings that have kept us fighting each other instead of loving each other.
